Cask halfpint at The White Hart, Crawley. 4.8%. Moderate aroma, some toffee and fruit. Tingling hops in the fairly fruity flavour, also decent malts. Very pleasant to drink.

Cask at the Royal Oak, Borough. It pours clear deepish amber with a small, bubbly white head. The nose is earthy, bitter-sweet, cereal, spicy action, toffee, dusty basement, apple pie and clove rock. The taste is bitter, wood, grassy notes, spicy hops, caramel, cereal, wheaten bread, banana bread and apple with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Way better than the bottled version. Quaffable stuff.

Cask at the Royal Oak, London. Hazy, golden coloured ale with a reasonable head. Wheaty, malty, citrus, banana aroma and taste. Refreshing, slightly sweet. Nice beer, especially after 4 pints of it.

Cask handpull at Royal Oak, London. Odd cereal, orange-y citrus flavour on this one. A bit like a tangerine with a woody flavour to it. A bit like a wooden box of oranges. Some clove spice. Bit of juicyness from the malt. Didn’t like it at first, but it grows on me. Good strongish bitter.

[Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen] A dark orange beer with a small head. It has next to no aroma, but the aroma that is there is very sour - almost like stomach acid. The flavor cask flat with notes of lemon, peach, and with the special wheat sourness before a dry hoppy end sets in. This tastes like a wheat beer mixed with a bitter - is that a new class of beer? on my palate the mixing of styles doesn’t come out well.
