On tap at the Rake. Semi dry crispy palate. Light malt provides a mild base for some fresh hops - grapefruit and a little orange. Fresh! Mild bitter aftertaste.

On cask at the Cask, Pub and Kitchen. Bright yellow pour with a white head. Sulphurous nose. Citrus, malts and pine aromas. Citrus, biscuit and vanilla flavours. Sweet, hoppy finish. Straightforward stuff.

Cask handpump at The Cask & Kitchen, Pimlico, London Sat’ 13th November 2010 Pours gold with thin white head. Little bit of sulphur noted also. After the Dark Star this is quite thin in the mouth however its far from bad it just makes you realise that Wild Hops are not a patch on their cultivated cousins when it comes to flavour and aroma. . Cask at CPK. Pours clear, light gold with a mild, white head. Grassy hops and light, bready malts in the nose. Lightly sweet flavor, with plenty of hay and grass bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. There are some lingering hay and straw bitters in the finish. Good.

Cask handpull at The New Wheatsheaf, Borough on Kook crawl. Gold colour thin white head. OK citrus peach golden ale. Not much hop on finish. It’s ok, but disappointing for Crouch Vale.

From cask at Three Judges. Pours clear and yellow with a small white head. Mild citrusy and fruity hops aroma. Smooth malty and light citrusy hops flavoured with a decent bitternes coming through. Crisp bitter and light malty sweetness. Followed by a more pronounced citrusy note and on level with the best Germen fresh helles. Good balance and top condition. Crisp and vibrant. Huge thanks to Three Judges to make this happen!
