Milk stout was believed to be nutritious, and was recommended to nursing mothers, such are old wives tales. We've followed a traditional recipe with up to date ingredients
This is vintage, drinking beer. Smooth, rich, chocolate heaven.

Cask @ Breakwater Brewery, Dover. Black with a thin head. Smooth tasting, it has a light but stated enough roasted malts in both aroma and taste, and is better in the former.

Cask gravity at Kent and East Sussex Railway BF 2018. Black beer lasting tan head. Milky stout as you would expect. Not overly sweet. Some dryness. Swetish touch of ash. Ok

(Cask at White Horse, Parson's Green, London, 26 Nov 2017) Almost black colour, with hints of ruby. Brief beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate and milky cappuccino. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, cappuccino and a finish with a gentle roasty bitterness and a certain lactose sweetness. Medium body. Tasty and well balanced with lots of milky coffee. Nice one.

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2017 - Hackney. Pours black-brown with minimal head. Nice chocolate notets in the nose. Light-medium sweet flavour, with soft roast, velvety chocolate, some raisins, brown bread. Light bodied, a little oily, with fine carbonation. Balanced finish, sweet but with nice bittersweet baking cocoa, mild roast. Fun and easygoing.
