A wort made with rye, oats, barley and wheat is boiled for three hours with aged hops and finished with a new English variety Olicana. Fermented with our house mixed culture in ex-bourbon and wine barrels, small numbers of barrels from multiple brews are selected to blend each batch.

So this is already on here as Mills Running Beer. First variant to get bottled in any kind of volume. Doesnโt warrant a separate entry. What do I know though. Just crack on like you do. Copy and pasted rate: Bottle. Beer Zoo. Also tried this at the Cotteridge beano, but it was way too hote to rate a beer of this style fairly, in my opinion. Anyway. Mostly clear, green tinged gold. Fine, white head, kept alive by a stream of fast rising bubbles. Nose has cheese rind. Pithy lemon. Planed wood. Fairly simplistic, yet bright and vibrant. Taste is dry, tart, and lightly acidic. Clean and fresh on the palate. Foamy carbonation. Dry and tangy, lightly acidic finish. Nice one. Plenty more to come with some time on it too, I reckon.

Bottle at home shared at the friendly Friday tasting. 25/06/2021. Fr0m the bottle shop druid street. A clear amber onion skin coloured pour with a lasting off white head. Aroma is spicy lacto, grass, sick, . Flavour is composed of lemon rind, spicy funk, lacto, vinous funk, Palate is semi sweet, sour, highish frothy carbonation. Good.

Bottle. Mills online, probably. Not sure why this is a separate entry. Anyhoo. Pale orange gold with a light haze. Super dense, lasting, bright white foam. Looks glorious. Nose has sawn wood and pithy lemon rind. Floral and old world spicy hop. Bit of white gooseberry. Light bretty funk. Taste has a fresh fruit sweetness, with tart, juicy, spicy bitterness. Bright and lightly tart on the palate with soft, foamy carbonation. Juicy tartness in spades on the finish. Necked it.

750ml bottle, from the BXL pack. Pours light hazed golden with a large white head. Aroma: lacto, sour fruit, white grape, musty oak. Taste: sour lemon, oak, white grape, lacto, barnyard funk. Palate is bitter lemon, sour. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Not the finest iteration of Running Beer, decent all the same

Bottle. Small gusher ( overflowing foam, really) . pours rather cleaer blonde, small white head fades fast. Scent is tart, oak, lactic, dusty. Bit acetic acid, bit sweaty. Taste is strong tart, mild acetic acid. lactic acid. mild funk. Strong oak ( buttery vanilla) . Easey drinker. fairly dry. Medium body and carbo.
