Keg at Pivni, York. It pours clear amber with a thick off-white head. The nose is earth, rye, wood, leather, spice, varnish perfumed, potpourri and dried apricot. The taste is earth, rye bread, wood, leather, raisin, touch of alcohol warmth Irn Bru, peach and nectarine with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and velvety mouth-feel. Interesting, good depth of flavour and balance.
