Cask at Tap East, London. Pours clearish yellow with a rich, white cream head. Dry dough nose, some straw and flowers. Light sweet flavor with biscuity pale malts, light bitter hay. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Good condition. Lightly drying to finish with citrus rind and more straw. Can’t say the kiwi fruit really comes through much; however, it is a very tasty golden ale.

Old Fountain. Hazy pale gold beer, little white head. Smooth palate, a little dry. Mild fine carbonation. Okay hops, mild grapefruit bitterness with a trace of tropical fruits. Fresh minerals. Semi dry finish with a mild bitter linger. Okay but not really showcasing these NZ hops to their best and I can’t taste any kiwi!

Cask at the Harp, London on 26th September 2012. Blonde with white part-lacing foam. Richly fruity and hoppy aroma. Lush blend of grapefruit, kiwi and medium to high intensity hoppiness in-mouth. Some biscuit malts round it off nicely with a fruit-hop-malt balanced finish. Light but engaging mouthfeel and fair amount of body. Very well crafted ale.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol, 8/09/2012. Pale gold in colour with a slight white head. Aroma of tropical fruits with some kiwi sweetness and grassy hops. Flavour had more of the same fruits, with the kiwis prominent, before a pleasantly dry finish. Very good.

Cask at the Hope ’The Final Countdown’ Beer Fest. It pours straw yellow, with a thin white head. The nose is custard, kiwi, grapefruit, hay and grass. The taste is lime, lemon, zesty, straw, kiwi, grapefruit and grass, with a dry, bitter finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. Well balanced and enjoyable.

Gravity dispense at Bitter Virtue Off Licence - St Denys (So’ton) - 09/09/12. Pale yellow with a thin white head. Citrus aroma, kiwi fruit evident, hops and a little pale malt. Taste follows, a little more tropical fruits also present and a hoppier bite than the nose suggested. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation leading to a dry finish.
