Single from TJs Asheville. Lo-ball @home. Hazy, dark strawberry or plum, iced-tea sort of pour. Tea, sour grape, blonde ale, raspberry vinegar nose. Berry skin, apple core, grassy bitter, thin, berry tartness, lingering astringency. Non-descript, half flat, good acid, tolerable abv. Decent.

16oz can from Total Wine and More, St Petersburg. Bluish purple and clear-ish with a ring of pink head. Light grape and dark Berry aroma. Sweet with light sourness and a short to medium finish. Decent carbonation on the watery body. More like alcoholic grape juice or weak communion wine than a beer, but not altogether bad.

Not face-puckering in its sourness, so the restraint is nice, but the grape notes come across almost too subtle, giving way to strong citrus-berry tart notes with concord coming through on the fade. Not sweet, which is good. Still, could use a little more complexity; I’d love to try a barrel-aged version.

16oz can pours a translucent purple with some clumpy, pinkish head. Nose has plenty of red and pink grapes, lemon too, light funk. Flavor has more lemon and more funk, the grape is more a natural wine flavor now, blood orange too. Medium bodied with an acetic kick behind the teeth.

This beer is a clear maroon-purple color with a medium thin pinkish-white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lace. Aroma of grape juice and yeast. Medium body with flavors of mildly tart grapes, yeast and a bit of doughy malt. The finish is sweet-tart concord grape jelly. Above average overall.

16 oz. can shared by Stacey. For pink head on a hazy purple liquid. Aroma is all Welches grape juice. Flavor shows Welches grape juice with a mild tart finish. Yeah, to me it tastes like watered down grape juice.

Pours a purple-hued, red wine color. Aroma is like wine. Taste and aroma reminds me of Boone’s Farm Mountain Berry wine from years ago.
