Cask at King William IV, Leyton, London on 2nd September 2011. Dee[ red-black, thin pale brown head decaying to a ring with almost no lace. Spicy and smoky aroma. Chocolate and vanilla in-mouth alongside some cheesiness and smoke. Sweetish flash before a satisfying rich end with grass, smoke and citric notes along with coffee. Full-mouth light engaging texture.

Cask at William IV during Brodies Birthday Bash 2011. Pours a murky, re-brown with a light, white head. Ripe fruits in the aroma, cherries. Flavor is kind of odd but not altogether bad. There’s a bit of roast, oil, sweet dark fruits, earth. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and an oily texture. Roasty, dry finish with mild sugars. Kind of like a roasty English strong ale.

2nd September 2011
Brodies Birthday Fest at the King William. Opaque black beer, residual pale tan head. Smooth low carbonation palate. Curious beer! Smooth dark malt, piney hops, traces of sweet candy are well buried. Mild chocolate and roast join the party and then some orange squash. Smooth dry finish with quite a bitter aftertaste. A little disjointed but hard not to like!

Cask handpull at William IV Birthday Bash 2011.Very dark brown beer. Its got some odd toffee liquorice in this. Nit my favourite mix if flavours. More caramel than straight diacetyl I think. It tastes like an oddish wine i have had before. Bit too much liquorice for my liking.
