Bottle @ home. Opaque black color with a medium sized brown colored head that lasts for quite a while and leaves good lacing. Aroma is malts, boozy bourbon, oak and slightly a hint of liquor soaked raisins. Taste malts, ash, bourbon, boozy, alcoholic a bit, sweet initially but quite bitter finish. Oily texture, medium body, decent yet suitable carbonation. Nice but definitely not a great Bourbon BA beer. Kees can do and has done better imo.

330 ml bottle. Pours blsck with short tan head. Aromas of spicy whiskey barrel, a bit of coconut, black coffee, sorachi ace, and lean roasted malts. Strong oak and whiskey notes with creamy coffee and chocolate, and definite dill/sorachi. Quite warm. Seemingly at odds but everything works really well together.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma has bourbon booze, red fruit, chocolate, licorice and caramel. Flavor of boozy chocolate, red fruit, oak, licorice, caramel and boozy spirited vanilla. Bit messy, but also enjoyable, not the best ba kees though.

33cl Bottle, thanks Harmen! Black colour, beige head. Aroma of alcohol, booze, wood, liquorice, roasted malts, some whiskey. Flavour is very boozy, bordering on green apples but thankfully not, a bit of solvent, wood, whiskey, roast, liquorice, ink, bitter boozy finish. Medium bodied. I’ve had better from Kees.

Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, decent dark chocolate. Bourbon is smooth and there is a bourbon soaked ripe fruit undertone. Touch of phenols here. Mild spice in the light finish. Good but lacks the sumptuous malt base of the best.

Bottle (from Koht). Pours dark brown-black. Aroma is green apple, oak, roast, some vanilla. Flavor is sweet and bitter, vanilla, roast, green apples, booze, chocolate, sugar, sour notes. Finish is sweet and boozy. Overall: drinkable, but another barrel ruined beer.

Shared from bottle at THT February 2018. Black with light tan head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts. Massive sour woodiness. Balsamic. Deep roast as well. I taste more cognac, whisky, green apples and pure alcohol than bourbon. No vanilla to be found. Massive bittet, moderate sweet and very light sour. Full body and soft carbonation.
