What defines a memory? With all our scientific progress, we still don't fully know. The closest humans have come is the engram, theorized to be the physical storage units in the brain for these lasting impressions we retain during our lifetimes.
Our Engram, the newest addition to the Bissell Brothers lineup, is our first wheat beer, and is redolent - in aroma and taste - of fresh sliced pineapple from the usage of Denali hops. The mouthfeel, derived from a grain bill comprised largely of malted wheat, is one of silky smooth perfection, and the manageable 5.5% ABV (we have found this to be essential to both craft beer enthusiasm and summertime drinking in general) allows you to enjoy this beer liberally.
It is refreshing for us to know that the human experience remains at least partially unquantifiable, and that memory remains largely subjective. We hope you make some of your own with this beer.

Pours a slightly hazy, lemon-banana yellow, with mid-sized, lasting head. Aroma has some citrus and floral hop notes, some straw, wheat, a touch of fruit esters. Flavor is straw, wheat, grass, some citrus. It's missing the expected sour banana flavor of most wheat beers. Smooth, somewhat watery, thin mouthfeel.

Draught at the brewery, 12/22 and 12/29/17.
Cloudy bronze-maize-golden with a moderate amount of fairly well-retained, white head.
Pine tar, heavy spruce, soap turning to strong Pine Sol cleaner.....
Pine sap, pine sol, burning, astringent bitterness and light cereal-like malt character. Just awful and undrinkable. Burning, watery, over-dry and filled with all manner of unwanted character. It's like drinking off of the very bottom liquid of the primary fermenter.

Draft at Bissell. Cloudy murky bright gold. Mild green hops, yeasty wheat aroma. The flavor is very thin with yeast and protein particles. The hops almost have a spicy note to it.

I sampled this beer on Draft at York River Landing about 2 plus months ago and it was a different beer. This is thin, watery and notes of dish soap. Something is real off here. Really sub-par.

Keg at mother Kelly’s. A translucent golden yellow coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is weird fruit, pear, melon, apple, pale grains, funky fruit salad. Flavour is composed of doughy raw wheat, grain husks, tangy citrus, prickly pear, orange rind. Lingering harsh grain. Palate is semi sweet, tangy, moderate carbonation, grainy. Decent.

Keg at HL3, 27/07/17. Murky orange with an off white head. Nose is pine needle, semi dank hop bubblings, toasted brioche, wheaten bread, orange pith. Taste comprises sweet tropical fruit licks, pine resin, melon, citric tinged straw, pineapple, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close laced with juicy hop bitterness. Solid dank hop stinger ... probs the best I’ve had in this ordinarily ’yawn’ style!
