2/II/19 - on tap @ Struise Shop (Brugge), BB: n/a - (2019-190)
Clear dark brown beer, big creamy irregular beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of passion fruits, sourish impression, fruity, good stuff! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sour start, lots of passion fruits, slightly salty, soft roast, bitter notes, bit acidic. Aftertaste: bitter, soft clean acidity, lots of lemon, some tannins maybe, pretty dry finish.

22 December 2018. Sample at Struise Shop, Bruges. Pours hazy dark brown with a huge, slowly collapsing, frothy, tan head. Aroma of burnt raspberries (like they were thrown into the frying pan), blackcurrant, fruit cake with berries, chocolate powder, wheat, (burnt) toast. Taste is light fruity sour, notes of blackcurrant & raspberry; light to medium roasted bitter middle brings toast & fondant even, a bit dry & chocolate powder-like, meanwihle the fruitiness persists giving the impression of burnt fruit; malty nuttiness in the back, wheaty touch too, something vaguely herbal gives it a weird Coca-Cola effect. Dryish, tart, toasty finish, bit wheaty, lingering dark fruit, more drying, almost 'ashy'. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Interesting experiment, but I can't say that this combination makes it tasty.

Tap. Dark brown color, creamy foam. Aroma: caramel, plum, light sour cream, caramelized fruit, cake. Taste: moderately sour, biscuit cake with caramel and fruits, a strange mixture of styles, strange.

Draft glass @ Proeflokaal Arendsnest. Very dark brown, creamy tanned head. Nose is really unpleasant dark burned bread & malts dark fruits,… Taste is acidic burned toast, acidic, dark bread, overripe berries & cherry, burned fruit,.. Sour acidic,… Overall interesting but this is not a combination that really works, burned bread & toast, dark fruit really clashes with the base and acidity, so while fun not a good combo.

Draft at Uiltje Bar. Dark clear brown color light tan head. Aroma of soft roast and dark fruit. Taste is sweet and sour plums and cocoa. Like a cross between a Berliner and an Oud Bruin.

Tap at Uiltje Bar. Black with off white head. Sour rotten wood and grain, sweetwater fish and cooked milkfilm. Sour and bitter. Under medium body and average carbonation. Disgusting.
