Oud Beersel Kriekenlambiek is a traditional Lambic beer, produced by the addition of real sour cherries for natural fermentation in young Lambic. Once the cherries have been fully macerated and fermented, the Kriekenlambiek is blended with an older lambic to reach the desired flavor. For each liter of Kriekenlambiek, there are 400g of sour cherries. It is not sweetened; no flavorings or preservatives have been added.

Box at Night of the Great Thirst. Beautiful deep purple color, still. Intense ripe cherry aroma. Tart cherry taste with an edge of biterness. Syrupy mouthfeel. Delicious.

Huge thanks to SinH4! Sampled draft. Dark red berry wine. Nose is massive cherries, vinous cherry, cherry skins, massive cherry,…. Massively dry vinous cherry skins, berries, so dry, so many berry skins, massive dry wine, huge dry jam, lingering, low sour, cherry pits,.. Massively dry fruit skins jam. Damn tasty.

Draught. Deepest purple color with hardly any head. Aroma is super intense cherry. Taste is cherry, super intense, a tiny bit of almonds, a touch leather, cherry flesh, not really adstringent. Oily mouthfeel, flat. Amazing - I am a huge fan of their Oude Kriek for its fruitiness, and this is just madly fruity.

Bag in box at Nacht van de Grote Dorst. Bit hazy deep ruby with no head. Milky, sweet cherries, sour cherries, light almonds, soft herbs, jammy cherries. Under medium sweet, sour and bitter. Medium bodied with no carbonation. Nice.

Tsp at brewdog (thanks fatphil). Pours deep red. Aroma is sour, cherries, burnt notes. Flavor is slur, cherry stones, yoghurt, burnt notes. Finish is sour. Feels rather full. Overall: good.
