12 oz. can from HEB in San Antonio, TX. Pours a crystal clear dark reddish-amber color with a small khaki head and poor retention. No lacing. Sweet vanilla and caramel aroma. The taste follows the nose: Sweet caramel and vanilla flavors, resulting in a maple syrup flavor. I'm not tasting any chocolate and very little graham, so not much of a smores flavor, but a good vanilla brown dessert beer anyway. Medium-light body. Very low carbonation. Zero bitterness. Semi-slick mouthfeel.

4 oz. draft at the source. Near clear brown color. Aroma and flavor are a reflection. Marshmallow, nutty, hint of char with a overly sweet / sugary/ artificial finish.

Tap. Muted Horn, Berlin. Clear, dark, reddy brown. Barely a head. Nose has milk chocolate. Vanilla milk shake. Cocoa. Not much else, but would you expect it? Taste is vanilla milk shake sweet. Hint of earthy bitterness. Light body. Soft fizz. Finish gets a bit more beer like, with a dry and earthy bitterness. Ok.

Draft/Fest. A- Smores, marshmallow, vanilla, chocolate, graham crackers. A- Brown color, clear liquid, beige head. T- Cocoa, watery, subtle vanilla. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, weak finish. O- The aroma was on point here. Smelled just like a Smores. The taste was however no where close. Got the cocoa but that’s about it. I think if this had been a porter or stout, it would have been better. Nice try but not quite.
