Cask at the brewery, light hazed golden yellow coloured pour with a thin white cap. Aroma is midget gem/ grassy hop with light orange and tea leaves. Flavour is pithy lemon, grapefruits, harsh bitterness bubblegum yeast character. Bitterness is too much and out of balance with the rest of The beer. Palate is light, bit thin, moderate carbonation. Ok golden but just not that drinkable.

On tap (handpump) at the brewery, Bermondsey, Saturday 7th February 2015 I was expecting something called 5 hop to be a more hoppier and better beer than the LPA, it wasn’t, the LPA was much better. Like the LPA this looked good it pours crystal clear gold with a filmy white head. The presumed hoppiness failed to assert itself, (can’t read the next bit of my paper notes), to be fair there is a hoppiness, but it is indistinct. Fine but the LPA beats it hands down. Cask handpump in the brewery taproom. Pours clear gold with a dense, frothy white head. Grassy hops on the nose with hints of plastic, doughy white bread, hay. Light sweet flavor, somewhat astringent, with harsh grassy bitterness, more notes of plastic, lemon rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Grassy bitter finish with some husky grains, hay, dry pale malts. So so. Astringent aftertaste.

Cask at the Kings Arms, Waterloo, 20/01/15. Clear golden with a decent off white cap that retains well. Nose is citrus peel, pale malt, grassy, slightly on the turn melon. Taste comprises light bread dough, lemon rind, touch of sharp grapefruit, melon. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close peppered with an astringent bitter feel. So so GB, not that well joined up, not one I could session on.
