Tap @ the brewery. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, malt, grass, hops and has a sweet caramel finish.

Amber with slight cloud. Dry amber malt, mild bitterness, fairly clean, not complicated. Decent enough.

Pours clear deep clear amber into an English pint. Off-white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Sweet earthy caramel aromas. Soft with caramel and fig upfront turning to raisin and earthy brown bread in the dry finish.

Decent foamy head and darker copper body with heavy carbonation. Soft malt aroma with a bit of dish detergent thrown in. Flavour is soft murky caramel and a sugary mouthfeel. Cloying and sweet, they coulda done better than this.

This ale poured a deep amber colour with a nice, big, off white coloured head. A little lacing in the glass. To the nose there are scents of sweet ripe fruit, apple cider and very light scent of malt vinegar. First sip had a med/high carbonation with flavours of ripe fruit, smoke and toast. Finish is lightly bitter with malt lingering.

Bought this one in Edmonston, N.B. when I was on tour with my band (summer 2009 and rated January 2010). Huge off-white head that is foamy and disappears at a medium pace, leaving some small traces of lacing. Its colour is golden-orange and hazy, with good amounts of carbonation. The aroma is pretty fruity, with some sweet malt and light hop. Fizzy mouthfeel and light-bodied. The taste is pretty tame with some grain malt, not even tasting the caramel malt expected. Over-carbonated amber ale that is only good to remember one of Saint John’s best mayor.

Light amber with a slight haze. Some caramel and diacetyl in the aroma. Diacetyl-dominated palate is overcarbonated. There is nothing desirable in this beer, way too much diacetyl and it’s bloating me.

Hazy golden ale with an overflowing offwhite head. Herbal malt aroma, with thistle quality. In mouth, a nice dry malt with rather peppery hops. Reminds me the first time I tried to brew an IPA at a BOP. Some diacaetyl notes develop as beer warms up. Not bad considering the bottle is one year old. Thanks Bobby.
