This blend is a spirited synthesis of two imperial stout recipes that were aged in Heaven Hill, Blanton's, Basil Hayden, Booker's, and Bliss barrels, without adjuncts. Two barrels that contained a double barreling of the Sending Vibrations blend lend soft notes of vanilla-laden honey and robust oak spice. Rings Of Splendor exhibits tones of dark chocolate, vanilla, and double-roast coffee beans on the palate, a classic expression of barrel-aged stout.

Bottle shared at CBJ - cheers! Pours black-brown with a small, creamy beige head. Medium sweet flavour, some rich boozy barrel, dark mats, toasted marshmallows. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, a little sticky. Not bad.

Bottleshare at CBJ. Thanks to Wingman. Near opaque dark brown beer, no real head. Smooth palate, a slight viscosity, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Good dark chocolate malts, slightly tangy, a little bitter dark chocolate. Savoury over ripe bourbon soaked fruits. A little alcohol spice on the semi dry finish. Flavoursome.

Tasting at Ryan's, bottle
Black colour. Thick, but with so much alcohol burn that it's not sticky; rich dark chocolate, molasses, some tar aroma, toasted nuts in the finish. Well made, impressively strong, but no elegance, quite brutal.

Poured from 1 pint .9 fl oz bottle. Dark brown with minimal tan head. Vanilla honey and bourbon barrel, gentle roast, very smooth, abv is well hidden (tastes like half that).

Dark brown. Not much head. Rich bourbon aroma, with some chocolate and molasses. Rich, boozy on the palate, with sticky dark burnt sugars. Lots of bourbon - I can't say any barrel stands out but there's a lot of barrel here, lots of alcohol and a mellow vanilla. Overall, sweet and strong, and quite aggressive.
