Keg at the brewery. Clear dark amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and a little airy. Mellow dark malts bring some creamy sweetness and mild dark chocolate. Nice mild juicy berry fruits and piney hops. Little juicy marmalade. Whisper of lime. Light finish. Complex and tasty.

Keg at Anspach. It pours deep red-brown with a thick beige head. The nose is rich roast, cocoa, pine, varnish, orange sherbet, candy, orange rind and liquorice. The taste bitter, rich roast, ash, charred wood, orange rind, sherbet, stewed fruits and salted liquorice. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I am rather fond of the nose. Rather decent stuff.
