So this beer answers that age old question - \"What the heck IS a New England Brown Ale?\" The dominant first element of the taste profile was almonds and chocolate. Citrus and piney hops are there in mind IPA proportions with roasted malt and a mild variety of coffee coming out with the roasted malt. All in all, I would call it an enjoyable light black IPA accept for the colour which is indeed brown. Enjoyable, fresh and well balanced.

Murky brown colour with some caramel highlights. Slightly creamy beige head, very nice retention and web lacing. Nutty, coffee, roasted and chocolate malts combined for the brown ale aromas. And the IPA side is in the background with the citrus-piney notes. The taste is more of the IPA, but not overly bitter. A decently dry mouthfeel. Seems to be building that way. Juicy citrus juice flavours with the peel. A nice mix of the brown ale and NEIPA.

A hazed reddish amber ale with a thick frothy lacing mocha head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with herbaceous character, light mineral notes, a bit off. In mouth, nice caramel malt with light grassy hops, light resinous notes, nice and smooth. On tap at Bowmans.
