Bottled. A black beer with a huge dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, whiskey, over ripe fruits, and hints of liquorice. The flavor is sweet with notes of dark chocolate, whiskey, roasted malt, alcohol, wood, and liquorice, leading to a dry finish.

Torsdag på Lokomotivværkstedet mai-19: etter å ha kommet mig til vejs ende med de nye danske mikrobryggerier er jeg nå klar for øllets gentleman, som det står her på Thisted sin specialstand dedikeret til denne ikoniske klassiker. Fra fad - brunsort med kort skum. Hint af røg/tjære fra fadlagringen og den sedvanlige smagsfylde jeg forbinder med Limfjordsporteren, men jeg ble alligevel en lille smule skuffet. Måske hadde jeg for store forhåbninger?

Sample@Ølfestival København 2018 - pours dark brown black with a beige head. Roasted and sweet malty, slight burnt dark malty notes, with coffee, caramel, cocoa, hoppy backing, just a slight wooden whisky nuance into the dry roasted finish.

Draught sample at CBF 18. Near black with a thin tanned head. Smoke, dark malts and coffee. Soft whisky notes. Nearly no barrel in this one, which leaves you a little bit disappointed.

Draught at KØ17. Mild vanilla aroma. Black colour, seems hazy. Small brown head. The flavour is sweetish and creamy. Low bitterness. 737314 KØ19. Caramelly, roasted. Black colour. 838318

[ As Thisted Limfjordsporter Thy Whisky Fadlagret ].Clear dark black brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, roasted, chocolate, wood, smoke. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, wood, dark malt, smoke, oak - wood, light to moderate chocolate, cherry - cherry stone notes.
