brown sugar, coffee and malt nose on a copper body. Off white head. Taste is a bit thin, featuring some nuttiness, malt, and a touch of coffee. Low carbonation and little finish. Foof.

nice roasty malt nose, flavour is much of the same. Good balance between the roasty malt, and slight caramel notes. Great finish of caramel, i like this alot!

Single can from the LCBO. Pours a clean, deep amber colour with a beige frothy head, good retention and creamy lacing. Nutty roasted malt aromas with hints of coffee, caramel and even chocolate. The taste is roasted malts, kind of watery, with notes of caramel and some decent hops in the finish. This creates a little grassy bitterness and dryness. Not bad, but missing a little balance.

Victory Cafe, Toronto cask: Pours a dark brown with a small head. Aroma is ambiguously malty. Taste is slightly sweet. Body is far too light to be a solid brew. I had difficulty finishing this because I had very little desire to drink the whole thing. This was a disappointment at best.

Some smell of bitter hops and a follow through that has a hint of coffee on it, a nutty bitter. A medium body with an alright amber colour and virtually no head. Not bad. Bottle.

This dark ale is one of my favourites. Just discovered about 2 weeks ago, it pours a deep orange/red colour with a off white foamy head. To the nose it has roasted malts and nuts with a little fruit. First taste is nice and roasty with the malts and some hop shining through. Maybe a little coffee too. The palate is nice with nore roast and a little smoke to finish off. Very Good!

Dark golden to brown ale with a thin dissolving white head, a bit lifeless when poured. Light oxidized malt with nutty notes in aroma. In mouth, light sweet malt with light nuttyness and roastiness in final, with bitter chocolate, not very hopped, thinner than expected.
