Bottle from the brewery. Pours a crystal clear light golden color with a decent sized bubbly white head that slowly dissipates. Aromas of sweet honey with a light spice with almost a lime mint kind of thing happening? The flavor is pretty good actually, there’s an awesome raw grainy cereal type flavor in there that I really dig. Sweet sugary honey like maltiness with some spicy wheat and yeast flavors to counter. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Nice brew, I’m glad I picked this up because I almost passed based on style. I hope the rest of those propeller beers I brought back surprise me as well.

Originally rated November 2005. Pours a pale golden-yellow colour with a white fizzy head that does not last long. Very sweet nose with the real scent of honey and wheat. Thin mouthfeel. The taste is slightly bitter with that malt and honey mixed quite well. Not much in the aftertaste, just a tad of the honey. Nicely brewed light refreshing beer that smells and tastes what the the name describes.

On tap at Propeller in Halifax. Pours out a dark amber topped with a small head. Aroma was of light honey notes, some grain, and a touch of fruit. Taste was much as the aroma a little honey and grain. Not to exiting overall.

Bottle: Poured a hazy dirty beige color ale with a small foamy head with low retention and no lacing. Aroma of lightly sweet notes with some faint wheat malt also notifiable. Taste is lighter then anticipated with some light wheat notes with a sweet honey finish. Body is quite full with limited filtration and low carbonation. Not the most exciting beer from this brewery with lacking ester and complexity.

Thin head which collapses into oblivion. Mild smell of honey and grass on the nose. Dry malts and a bit sweet in the mouth, with a faint bitterness in aftertaste. Nothing special.

Light blond. Slightly honeyish aroma. Light body. Slightly malty palate. Bland. Totally disappointing, considering the calibre of their beers overall (save the contract-brewed Sharp Angus).
