330ml bottle. Amber orange-brown colour, off-white foam head and aroma of marmalade, molasses, spicy hop. Taste is malty, orangey, boiled sweets, honey, molasses, yeasty, dried fruits, woody and earthy bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry spicy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Dark gold bordering on honey brown. Clear with almost no carbonation or head. Smells of white grape, loquat, dessert wine. Sweet and strong. Taste sweet and fruity/grapey/juicy, but the malt backbone is evident. Handles the alcohol well, leading to a bittersweet finish. Resplendent white grape in the finish. Spot on, a very good DIPA.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. This is by no means an objective rating. Mate of mine and me had an all day session on Blue Monkey beer. I thought Blue Monkey had turned to shit. My mate probably thought similar. Actually, they had. This is pretty good, though. Some bright grape hop. Never feels 10%. Lovely. Just shows how wrong you can be. I’d like another.

Bright clear amber beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry, a minerally crispness. Light malts, sweetish. Sweet crystallised and candy fruits. Mild grape. Sweet floralness. Mild hop spice. Tangy citric fruity finish also brings a trace of esters. Interesting beer, can’t recall having a champagne yeast IIPA before and the yeast has intermingled with the hops in interesting ways. Went down well.
