A nice refreshing helles from Buxton. Nothing special here, but very drinkable.

Can picked up from Etre Gourmet webshop, Grez-Doiceau, Belgium and consumed at home listening to Gideon Coe on 6 Music, we had Spaghetti with Rocket and Ricotta for tea a recipe from the Second River Cafe Cookbook, date Thursday 8th July 2021. Pours warm gold to light amber with a white head. I get a nuttiness with this, malty, Loz reckons too much maltiness, there is plenty of biscuity maltiness here. It really is not the crisp and refreshing beer that it suggests, moreover it's plodding along and struggling to match even a mid table Helles I can get over here. I cannot finish this and move onto an Ayinger Frühlingsbier instead. Sorry Buxton but this was really not doing it for me this evening

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear honey-gold with a creamy, white head. Light to medium sweet with crispy biscuits, white bread, a little cereal, hay. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Subtle grassy bitterness in the finish, more crunchy cereal, biscuity malts. Drinks pretty nice.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 13/06/21. Almost clear golden orange with a decent just off white head ... carbonation evident. Nose is grassy, floral, crisp malts, cereals, light herb, trace of lemon. Taste comprises pale and light bready malts, grass, herb, toasted grains, crackers. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Solid chuggable logger bier.

Can. Buxton online shop. Faint haze on a glowing gold. Decently dense, lasting, lacing, bright white head. Nose has crisp malt. Touch of spicy pepper hop. Some earthy, herbal hop leaf. Taste has sweet biscuit malt. Good balance of earthy peppery hop bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel with soft and foamy carbonation. More of the hop spice to finish. Super easy drinking logger.
