33cl bottle bought at Kew Gardens, stated ABV 4.2%. An amber pour with a billowing cream coloured head; citrus aroma; sharp, bitter grapefruit taste with a sweet biscuity body; and a lasting citrus bitterness. A rather good pale ale.

Bottle 330ml (from Kew Gardens, thanks Kairo!)
Slightly hazy amber color, good cloudy white head. Aroma has grass, yeast and some fruityness. Light-bodied. Citrus, pale maltyness, restless a bit harsh yeast fruityness. Even kind of grainy. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Restless.

Bottle bought at Kew Gardens, drunk at home. Colour is dark gold, looks the tiniest bit hazy, with a tight white head. Some gooey malt in the aroma alongside the light citrus notes. Perfectly balanced taste, sweet and juicy with contained bitterness in the short to medium finish. I didn’t expect to like this as much as I did, partly due to previous rates, partly due to the ’English hop’ malarkey. But this is incredibly well done.

Level 42 Bottle share. Thanks to Daniel. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Light dry pale malts, mild grain. Tired dry fruits. Fairly floral bitter finish. Spicy floral linger. Overdry and tired tasting.

Bottle at level 42, thanks to Dan. It pours hazy dirty gold - amber with a thick white head. The aroma is fresh bread, earth, grain and candied citrus peel. The taste is quite mellow, earth, wood, dried fruits, brown bread and leather. Medium body and fine carbonation. Easy going, if a touch boring. OK golden ale.
