The beer that helped build our brewery; Bell’s Amber Ale features both toasted and sweet caramel notes from carefully selected malts, balanced with herbal and citrus hop aromas. Capped by a clean bitterness, it’s incredibly versatile with food, but very tasty on its own.

Cask at Churchkey. Amber color (I would hope so), thick off white head, solid lacing. Subtle caramel aroma and a taste of smooth butterscotch balanced with a late subtle hoppiness. Decent.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance had a brown colored body and leaves a moderately sized white head that lasts for about thirty seconds. Nice spotty lacing appears and some light carbonation is seen rising.
The smell was sweet and has some light hops coming in as the beer warms.
The taste was basically the same with a dry malty aftertaste.
The palate was about a medium and had a dry finish.
Overall, this is a solid American Amber/Red Ale that I would have again.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tempo. Thanks kerenmk. Clear amber. Aroma of cardboard, malt, a bit of caramel and a bit of stale hops. Sweetish flavor with malt, caramel, cardboard and some stale hops bitterness. Medium-bodied. Too old.

12 oz bottle. Pours an ugly grainy light orange/brown with light head. Not much aroma. Flavors of dried bread, toasted malts, and light fruit. Expecting more.

Pours orange/amber with minimal head. Aroma of oranges, malt, sourdough. Taste is dry and recalls bread, ginger, apricots. Mouthfeel is medium weight and dry. Smooth and drinkable.

12 oz. bottle. Hazy orange color with a small, beige head. Light citrusy aroma, with some white bread, cilantro, and mild cheese. Mild malt sweetness, with maybe a hint of roasted malts. Light hop profile. Light to medium body, slightly chewy, and clean. Overall, this is a solid, easy-drinking beer.

Great for style. Nice creamy texture on this with extremely good balance between hops and malt. The blurb lives up to the fruit claim as well - there are definite hints of orange here. Foamy head with good lacing. Pours orange with a little cloud. Bottle from brewpub store.
