Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours deep brown with a creamy khaki head. Balanced, moderate roast aroma with some burnt malts, cocoa, pine. Medium sweet flavor, still nicely balanced, with some dark sugars, burnt toast, a bit of ripe orange. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish with some lightly roasted dark malts, mild char, baking cocoa, citrus rind, burnt pine. Very good stuff. Exceedingly drinkable.

Keg at The Cambridge Blue, Cambridge, Saturday 20th December 2014. Pours dark brown, middling bittersweetness, a bit more light coffee than tea if indeed it even has tea in it?. A damn decent beer, a tart fruity edge, like this. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Keg at the brewery. Thanks to the CDA master Mr Bois for the scoop. Dark Carmel black coloured pour with a lasting cream coloured head. Aroma is caramel, nice roast pine resin hop. Flavour is light chalk and dark choc malts. Palate is medium full body. Moderately high carb. Lingering nice piney hop. Decent black IPA.
