Bottle - Sweet barrel notes, molasses and booze. Jet black with a thin light brown head. Boozy, molasses, dark malts and a long bitter slightly hot finish. Big bold flavours, but a bit too much.

Tap. Friends of Ham, Leeds. Clear, dark cola colour. Thin, tight, lasting, tan head. Woody, fudgy, caramel malts. Some chocolate. Some liquorice. Some booze. Taste is treacle sweet, then roasty bitter. The ageing gives some dryness. Palate is slick, chewy, and full. Finishes long, roasty, woody, chewy bitter. Very nice.

Bottle shared at Kernel. It pours near black with a thick tan head. The nose is rich roast, earth, toffee, juicy, vanilla, bourbon, salted liquorice, toasty coconut and dark chocolate. The taste is bitter, rich roast, salted liquorice, earth, pepper, meaty, burnt toast, dark chocolate bounty, wood, bourbon and warming alcol with lingering dry finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Rich and decadent. Yum.
