Dark as a moonless night and smoother than Morgan Freeman in a velvet suit, De La Crème uses added lactose sugar to bring sweet chocolate, caramel and cream flavours to your attention. More than just another milk stout, De La Crème is really the crème de la crème.

Can from LCB at 4.5%, 3 weeks in date. Pours black with beige top, modest retention. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, some creamy lactose and char dust. Moderate roast flavour, with charred wood and sweet creamy coffee, hint of chocolate, marshmallow and berry. Near medium bodied, slick with a fine carbonation.

(Draught at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 27 Nov 2022) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of milky chocolate, black coffee, liquorice and black bread. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, liquorice, black bread and a balanced cacao bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Smooth and velvety mouthfeel. Rich, tasty and well balanced. Very nice.

Half-pint by keg at Post Office Vaults. Shared with Finn. Upper part lacing on the glass, pitch black body, small sized beige head. Appealing chocolate smell. Similar taste of smooth chocolate malts, lactose backbone. Mid-sweet malt-driven finish, mildly roasted. Easy to drink. Likable. (Birmingham 04.02.2020).

Delt med Rune. Svart. Kjempehøyt lysebrunt skum som daler veldig sakte. Lett lakrisaroma. Smaken melkesjokolade. Lett tørr avslutning. Bra - men litt uvariert.

Lovely smooth and roasty milk stout. Nice and light, but with plenty of flavour. Fairly dry, some coffee sourness, but also a good deal of roast, giving a solid bite to the beer. A real pleasure, very easy to drink, excellent session stout.

On tap at Hop Stuff Taproom Ashford. Black beer lasting tan head. Good dark chocolate aroma. Some light milk. Dryish. Which is good for me. Pretty good milk chocolate stout. Works well on keg.
