The second you open this bottle there is no mistaking that this is not your average IPA. Massive hop additions of the most obnoxious breeds put this taste bud burner in a league all it’s own. Our bet is that you will think it is O’so Freakishly good! Caution! This brew is 9% and may contain a hop cone in every bottle (2009 to present vintages) ! We want to make sure to repeat this reminder that we put a hop cone in the bottle. Always pour into a glass to release the essence from the bottle.
2008 Edition: 22-oz bottle
2009 Edition: 12-oz bottles w/hop cone in bottle
2010 - 2013 Editions: 12-oz bottles w/Hop Warning label

Oluthuone Kaisla, Helsinki. Bottle. Very hazy deep amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. A few hop flower pieces floating about. Palate is smooth and semi dry with decent fine carbonation. Sweetish malt base, thin cream and caramel. Hops are strongly pine with modest hop spice and skunk. Jammy citrus and tropical fruits. Smooth and slightly bitter dry finish. Hop spice lingers on. Good stuff.

Bottle at London Drinker BF 2016. Clear ish amber lasting beige head. Slightly not quite fresh aroma but the flavour is fresh fruit. Like peach and apricot on speed. Very hoppy. Settles down into a massively fruity ipa. Aroma still isn’t great but the rest is banging. Wow. Has hop leaves in. Wow. Picking hop flowers out of your mouth was entertaining.

Bottle at Craig’s place. It pours hazy golden – amber with a small white head. The nose is toasty, bitter- sweet, orange peel, tangerine, bergamot and piney resins. The taste is crisp, pretty bitter, earthy, waxy orange peel, tangerine, bergamot, touch of grapefruit, resin and some sweet toffee undertones. Medium body and fine carbonation. Feels a bit sweet in places, but overall its decent enough.
