Recurring Dream is a very special, session strength edition of our Flagship Breakfast Stout, Broken Dream. It features the same indulgence of chocolate flavours and speciality malts, along with the creaminess of lactose for balance and mouthfeel. Espresso from London’s Climpson & Sons adds rich undertones of coffee.

Casi negra, opaca. Aroma a malta tostada, toques torrefactos, café.

Can at home picked up from Siren online. A opaque black mahogany brown coloured pour with a decent khaki head that fades. Aroma is nice earthy, roasted coffee, burnt earth, some lactose sweetness, some raspberry. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, dry earthy roast, bitter coffee, chalk, robust roast. Palate is semi sweet, to drying finish, moderate drying carbonation. Nice robust stout.

Tonight's selection is being enjoyed in front of the recurring Live Aid broadcast on BBC2, the same channel the groundbreaking concert was shown on 40 years minus 1 day to the day. This 'Recurring Dream' (although I do remember the day in 1985 itself) is a tasty oaty and roasted malt brew at a very easy stout strength. Crisp for the style with a smoothness that is very appealing in the palate.
