650 ml bottle at Gueuze tasting 2016, Ulfborg. Black color with beige head. Roasted malty aroma, nutty, almonds, bready, grainy, light caramel, mild coffee, licorice, wood, smoked notes. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma with milk chocolate addition. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, nutty - pecan, spicy, vanilla, vegetables. Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, pecan and light vegetables. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 240616

Bottle shared at the big Dave tasting at craft beer Co Islington. Many thanks to Leighton for this one.. Dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a big frothy mid tan head. . Aroma is earthy dark roast, cocoa, little raisin, cakey.. Flavour is composed of nutty, brown bread, cakey malts, earthy cocoa. Palate is medium full, creamy, frothy carbonation.

Bottle at Craft Islington, thanks to Leighton! It pours dark brown with a decent tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, coffee, chocolate, toffee and some dark fruits. The taste is bitter - sweet, chocolate, coffee, toffee, burnt cake, toasted nuts and a touch of spice. Medium+ body and average carbonation. Drinks pretty smooth. Not bad.

Craft Islington bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton. Opaque dark brown beer, good fluffy pale tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Fluffy tangy dark malts, touch of dark chocolate. Mild dark fruits. Something like tangy cinnamon. Tangy fruity finish. Not bad.

Bottle split at Dave is back in town tasting, thanks to Leighton K Trump, 21/04/16. Light black with a decent beige cap. Nose is light roast, dark fruit rinds, coffee light, toffee fudge, pinch of spice, faint soapy waft. Taste comprises cocoa powder, light charring, grain, toffee, nutty linger, coffee dusting, vanilla essence. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough fayre ... drinks below the ABV.

Bottle shared in London - picked up in the US. Pours black-brown with a dense, creamy tan head. Dark fruits in the nose, light roast, char, leather. Medium sweet flavour with leathery berries, scorched earth, light cocoa. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more roasty notes, bittersweet chocolate, burnt wood, berries. Tasty stuff.
