2015 bomber, thanks to Chalumeaux, drunk 11/28/15.
Medium opacity in the cola-tinted dark mahogany. Beige head immediately fades to a ring.
Moderate coffee in the nose gives way to light brown sugar and a touch of vanilla. Not intensely aromatic, but clean and not flawed.
Nutty, dry, crunchy, old coffee with light caramel, light roasted bitterness and light pepper and spice. Sweet and yet nearly astringent on the end with a moderate, slightly unfocused carbonation. No alcohol or flaws. Competent but just no richness to it and a bit too sweet.

This one is pitch black, good solid head. Solid aroma, good coffee and pecan aroma with a little unsweetened chocolate. The taste is pretty darn good. Creamy, smooth, a lot of chocolate and espresso bean. There’s a little chalky taste at the finish. kind of a chalky milk chocolate. would be pretty awesome in a bourbon barrel.

Nice stuff. Roast, coffee and light pecan. Creamy consistency. Bitter finish with light sour touch. Pours black with good mocha head and lacing. Tap at whole foods.

The bottle was purchased at One Stop Market. Bottled 9/18/2015. Deep ruby in color with very thin head white head. Aroma is tons of nuts, very nutty. Pecans, and walnuts, hints of chocolate hints.

Chocolate and ashy base with a dry texture. Coffee is only slightly noticeable on the front end of the sip. Earthy malt lingers for a decent amount after the sip. The body is mostly average for a porter. I may have been expected to much here because the coffee character is very mild. No flaws so that is a positive.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours very dark brown with a pretty dark tan head. Aroma of coffee, nuts and dark malt - sort of a treacle touch. Med body or better. Flavor is nuts, dark malt, coffee, and some spices that aren’t pumpkin pie in effect. Maybe an earthy chocolate note. Not entirely dry, but close. Fairly bitter - like from coffee. Good drink.

bottle from ølbutikken. pitch dark, smooth brown to light brownish head. roasted malts and coffee in the aroma. Aroma is quite full and fat. coffee grind, dark caramel, flavor is roasted malts, slight peppery spicyness, some coffe, somewhat sweet, but not in an overly sugary way, more like dark chocolate. something is adding a softness and smoothness resembling oat or wheat. quite complex flavor. while the beer might be a bit on the sweet side to begin with, it changes to more peppery and bitter and roasted towards the end, and the overall experience is very nice indeed.
