Clear dark brown to black beer, practically no head. Aroma: very roasted, dark chocolate, alcohol, bit dusty, spicy touch, coffee. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bitter, alcohol, soft roast, quite some bourbon, coffee notes, caramel, sweetish, more alcohol, hoppy bitterness. Aftertaste: lots of roasted malts, dark chocolate, more alcohol, dry, bit hoppy, spicy, bit oxidized.

2015 vintage. Four years aging makes it s mellow, smooth drinking beer. Bourbon on the aftertaste but not boozy. Overall s really nice imperial stout.

Bottle from TimE. Nickelbrook Kentucky Bastard 14.5% 2016 Deep cola black with a sweet Kentucky bourbon barrel aroma. Medium to full bodied and a bit viscous. The velvety mouthfeel gives a sharply sweet Kentucky bourbon and mild spicy flavor. Quite good.
