Bouteille 33cl, BB 20/07/206, batch# G456. Brune foncée, col fin café au lait disparaissant assez vite. Arôme au bouquet malté avec un bouquet plaisant de chipotle fumé, léger rétro de cerise et une note de lactose qui est un peu trop surfait. Palais est léger mettant bien en balance la chaleur des piments, fruité de la cerise et surtout ce léger côté aigrelet. Retrouve aussi une fine douceur de lactose qui semble plus nuire à la bière que de lui apporter une complexité. Le fruité de la cerise apporte une certaine balance au niveau aigreur ce qui était peut-être le but recherché avec le lactose. Effervescence est moyenne voire haute avec une chaleur qui commence à bien prendre place après une bonne demi-heure d’ouverture de la bière.

Sample at SBWF 2015. Black with a tan head. Aroma of malt, light smoke and chili. Similar taste, also hints of berries. Balanced and with a medium body. A descent one.

Black deep color, decent brownish head, some lace. Aroma has some smoke, chilli, chilli veggie notes and toasted maltyness. Light to medium-bodied. Light cherry, light smoke, light vegetables, mild chilli burn. Flavor is letdown after interesting nose. Maybe it was better as fresh from tap.

330ml bottle from Brewdog.com. Pours black with small tan head. Aroma is big roasted malts. Taste is roasty & toasty with a tickling fiery finish. More cherries would’ve been welcome but on the strength of the roasted elements and soft chili, not actually necessary. Tasty.

Drucken på cask på Bishop Gustav, Malmö. Massor av kaffe och en hel del choklad i doften, kanske också lite sotigt trä. Mjuk, rund, men ganska lätt och söt. Känns som sweet stout legat närmare till hands stilmässigt. Avslutningen är lite torrare med träkol och efter en bra stund dyker chili upp och skapar en trevlig men ytterst subtil smaksensation i munnen. Jag tycker att man skall använda chili försiktigt men här hade den kunnat ta lite mer plats. Trevlig, välgjort men lite sött. Men chilin var bäst.

Draught @ The Rover. Pours pretty much black with a small frothy mocha head that leaves some sparse spotty trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is roasty and tiny smokey with roasted malts, dark bread, burnt wood, coffee, dark chocolate, smoke, tar and ammonium chloride. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty and smokey. Mouthfeel is soft, round, slightly watery and light to medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, caramel, dark bread, burnt wood, coffee, dark chocolate, sour cherries, red chili peppers and moist soil. Decent but gets a bit too lactose sweet for me...

Cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Sweet, malty, vanilla, chocolate aroma. Tastes sweet, malty, chocolate, vanilla. Nice drop.
