(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 25 Nov 2018) Dark brown/ruby colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with caramel, toast, dark fruit and some coffee. Malty taste with notes of caramel, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit and a balanced earthy bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Good and well made strong bitter. Nice one.

Cask at Pimlico Cask & Pub. Dark clear brown with fine skin of head. This seems to cut across the style guidelines, elements of bitter, mild, porter with a little fruity sweetness thrown in for good measure. First seems dark & roasty, then sweet, then hop bitterness. A bit of a conundrum.

Cask at the Peterborough beer Festival 2018. A copper mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting diety beige head. Aroma is rustic brown bread, rye, brown leaves, autumnal, burnt toffee,. Palate is semi sweet, tang, decent cask condition. Flavour is semi sweet, burnt cake, bitter raisin, luquorice. Meh. But harsh.

Fra cask på Hopbunker Cardiff 2 Mai 17. Mørkebrun. Lavt luftig skum med litt farge. Forsiktig aroma av røstet malt. Smaken skarpt karamellaktig. Tørr ettersmak.

Cask ale, shared with Finn at Hopbunker. Bright mahogany coloured body, remaining layer, dotted spots on the glass. Dark caramel nose. Blended taste profile of caramel and dried fruits. Half dry malt- accented ending. Satisfying. (Cardiff 02.05.2017).

Fox & Goose Spring Beer Festival 2017. Dark copper coloured ale. It’s a robust malty ale with a lingering gritty bitterness.
