Keg at Brewdog Camden for the tap takeover. Opaque black coffee coloured pour with a thin light tan head. Aroma is nice fresh brewed coffee, dark grains, dry roast. Bit of spicy pepper and hot alcohol on the nose as well. Flavour is medium dry roast, coffee, nutty, mineral, dark choc. Just a hint of booze. Palate is medium bodied with a nice dry finish and higjish carbonation. Pretty well made.

Keg at the brewpub. Pours black-brown with a dense, lasting beige cream head. The aroma has well toasted malts and baking cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with accents of jammy dark fruits, bittersweet chocolate, scorched earth, raisins. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Ashy roast on the finish with prominent baking cocoa character, minimal heat, some additional dried dark fruits, mellow alcohol kick. Not bad.
