Gravity cask from the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate. 29 May 2019. Amber/magenta, clear and translucent with a medium to large off-white head. Aroma is very light: some forest floor, some resin, some bubblegum. Taste is sweet and malt-led at first with a big earthy bitterness that creeps up on you. Finish is long and bitter without being acidic. There's some reasonably interesting stuff going on here but the character feels so muted.

Cask at the Greyfriar, Reading. Deep amber with a sparse and fraying white cap. Rather metallic up front before a mild fruity, orangey flavour comes through. Nice warm malt in the end with a little spice. Grew on me but the metal was annoying.

Cask @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Copper-orange in colour with a thin head. There’s some hops in its nose, with a nice full fruity taste.
