18th February 2024
Bright clear pale gold beer, decent bubbly white head but it fizzes away in less than half a minute. Light palate, mildly dry, a good fine minerally crispness. Slightly thin but smooth malts, delivering an impressive amount of sweetness. Floral funk dominates the mid. The rhubarb is nicely judged, could have been an overly tart affair this but there is a nice balance of Rhubarb sweetness and mild tartness. Trace of lemon sherbet in the light finish. I don't if I could drink pints of this but, for me, one of the more enticing of these type of work beers that Kernel produce these days.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from the brewery taproom. Pours clear yellow-gold with a tight, creamy white head. Lightly sweet with mellow acidity, lovely true tart rhubarb character, some lemony bite, a little grass and funk. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Clean, tart finish, more bright rhubarb, mild earthy qualities, relaxed acidity. Mighty drinkable.
