Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at the brewery. Pours lightly hazed bright told with a pillowy, pure white head. Lovely beer, nice citrus peel, pine needles, floral hops, nips of grass clippings, understated pale malts. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Well balanced finish, just enough piney bitterness, some orange zest, more grass and flowers. Gorgeous.

Keg at the Waterloo Tap, 25/07/19. Clear golden blonde, carbonation well evident, topped with a white head that retains well. Nose is tangerine, grass, pine needle, mixed tropical fruit. Taste comprises ripe citric flesh, hint of lime like a Sabro lite, orange zest, airy malts, pine dusting. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced hop bitterness. Decent pale.

Bottle at home picked up from the brewery. Thanks to Jonah for pulling this one out. A light hazed bright golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is bit zesty lime, floral, Potpourri, perfume, citrus lime. Very unusual on the notes. Flavour is composed of some bready grains, assertive zesty lemon, lime, white grape, little straw, bitter lemon. Palate is semi crisp, some resin, frothy carbonation. I like it a lot.

Bottke from Beer Ritz. It pours hazy rich golden with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is has some stone fruit vibes, citrus peel, pine, lemon balm, lemongrass and some floral accents. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, piney action, lemongrass, pithy citrus, grapefruit, stone fruits, earth, herbal, spice and tannin with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Does reach the clarity of flavour of the Sabro. Good flavoursome stuff nonetheless.

Bottle in garden, from Grumpy Goat, 6th July 19. Pours clear and honey coloured. Aroma is pithy, pine and citrus. Taste is pretty bitter, pithy, refreshing, citrus, complementary malty back bone, some lemon grass, and actually the first few sips, seemed slightly like Sabro. It’s a nice bitter APA

19th June 2019 Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light smooth malts provide a light sweetness. HBC692 hops kick off with strong pine and bitter grass. Lurking underneath - melon and piney tropical fruits that are not unlike Sabro in that respect. Finishes with more cooling pine and a bitter spicy snap. Nice hop, there is nothing new here, unlike the bonkers Finchcock 7 hop Kernel got hold of recently, just good piney backbone with other good characteristics hanging off it and nicely showcased by Kernel. 2nd bottle on the 13th July. This has smoothed out and lost a little of it's grassy bitterness. This in turn brings out the very nice guavaish tropical fruits. Still has strong pine. Touch of floral peach and citrus. Yeah, rather nice. This is a good hop and stands on its own easily.

Bottle. Beer Ritz, Leeds. Opaque, pale, yellow gold. Decent Kernel swede. Nose has mineraly hop. Citrus peel. Clean malts. Touch of woody herb. Taste has a pithy, woody, slightly earthy bitterness. Minimal sweetness. Medium body. Foamy carbonation. Stays pretty juicy. Lingering pithy bitterness to finish. Not too typical a Kernel brew, but decent nonetheless.
