Keg at the Waterloo Tap, 01/03/19. Hazed orange golden with a decent off white cap. Nose is orange peel, grass, toasted grains, citric tinged straw, melon. Taste comprises orange pith, faint pine, airy malts, grass, trace of pineapple. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with juicy come earthy hop bitterness. Decent enough well rounded pale but not from the top draw of Mother Arch.

20th February 2019 Big thanks to Gordon and Chun for pulling this out for me. Green Bullet has been around for some time but it's nice to see Kernel showcase it. Hazy gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light smooth palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts, smooth and mildly sweet. Green Bullet hops bring mellow pine and a floral citrus and citric peel, whisper of lime. Mild spicy bitterness. Comes together well, nice hop profile that leaves a mellow spicy bitter linger.

Bottle at home picked up from the brewery. A translucent golden orange coloured pour with a lasting white cap. Aroma is soft bready grains, grassy citrus, green citrus, light pine needle, rustic grains. Flavour is composed of rustic grains, pithy citrus, lemon rind. Assertive grassy citrus bitterness. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, light grainy. Good beer.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at the brewery. Pours subtly hazed yellow-gold with a frothy, pure white head. Gorgeous beer, nice pithy citrus fruits, nips of grass and lemon rind, some pine accents, orange peel, dry pale malts beneath. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Refreshing bitterness in the finish, a mild grassy note, more citrus fruits. No gloop to it at all. Just straight balance. Beautiful.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Hazed, grubby gold. Kernel swede as expected, but this is thicker and more dense. No idea what to expect from this hop, but there’s bitter orange. Mouldy lemon. Earthy, stalky green leaf. Background of semi sweet, bready grain. Taste is has moderate, earthy, citrus rind bitterness. Medium body. Fine carbonation. A little dry. Lingering, moderate bitterness to finish. Classy gear.
