29th Jan 2019. Cask half-pint at The George & Dragon, Acton. Red hue to the deep brown body, off-white/beige head. Aroma held chocolate and earthy notes with a trace of nuttiness, taste also had the same three main players; nice malty brew all round really.

Cask at Leyton Technical. It pours clear ruby with a thin beige head. The nose is bitter - sweet, toasted nuts, frangelico, hazelnut, chocolate and earth. The taste is smooth, toasted nuts, earthy roast, wood, leather, charred action and earth with a dry, toasted finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Decent.
