Another very disappointing bottle from this brewery, from Cider Press in Dartington. BB - 01/04/23. Pours a clear medium brown with a small amount of life & head that disappears quick. Aromas & tastes malt and hints of dark fruits. Medium body. Malty finish. Drinkable but I'd like to try on cask next time as bottle conditioning is not up to much.

Cask at Moon Under Water, Wolverhampton. Pours “bitter brown” with ample white head and good lacing. Malts and sugar in the nose. Sweet malts again in the mouth, with traces of caramel and nuts. Some bitterness comes thorugh at the finish. A decent traditional bitter – but a bit one dimensional.

Wow, first rate of this in nearly three years. Bottle, courtesy of my mate Totnes. Opened with a big hiss. Pours clear, pale amber. Lively stuff. Huge, foamy, milk white head. Nose has nutty grain. Leafy hop. Bit of a wood glue thing. Taste is nutty sweet. Plenty of green leaf bitterness. Light body. Slightly drying. Low carbonation. Light bitter finish. Ok.

Cask at the Bell Hotel, JDW - Norwich. Pours clear, dark gold with a dense, creamy off-white head. Toasted leaves and husky grains in the aroma. Light sweet flavor with leafy bitterness, some dry toffee, leather, grain husk, tobacco. Light bodied with fine carbonation. OK finish, some grassy and leafy bitterness, more grain and tobacco, wood, leather. So so bitter.

30th Sep 2015: two hand-pulled cask pints in my local Wetherspoons. Clear amber/light brown body, an off-white topping stayed around for the whole pint each time. Fruity and malty with a hop backbone that kept in the shadows throughout, semi-sweet really with a mixed bag of fruity aromas and flavours.
