Draught at PinPon, Brussels.
Amber, hazy body, with a big, fluffy, off-white head.
Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, funk, leather, lemongrass, some young cheese.
Tastes similar, fresh, hoppy and funky.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes hoppy, funky, moderate sour, a bit dry, citric, grassy, a bit leathery.
Really tasty. Very fresh to drink, like a Farmhouse IPA, with lots of fruity hops, but also more of the typical Cantillon funk. Not really Lambic, while still a quite typical Cantillon, characterful and balanced.

On tap at Moeder Lambic Orginal, pours a hazy orange with some sticky, white head. Nose is odd, yeasty, buttery, a little fake vanilla like vanilla cake, maybe some muffin. Flavor has some lemony and funky geueze, lots of vanilla and lots of butter, grains, honey. Finishes lightly tart, lightly sweet. 7 4 7 3 13. Fine but kitchsy.

Draft glass @ Moeder Lambiek Original. Hazy golden, big bubbly head. Nose is heavy on the butter, low lemon. Taste is sweet butter & peach pits, low green floral hop in the back drowned out by butter. Buttery body. Simply too young, butter hasn’t cleared out yet & bit silly given that Cuvée Saint-Gilloise fresh on tap is a great hoppy beer so they can make that, even when cleared out this will not be top I think. One of the least Cantillon’s I have had.

Draught at Moeder Original. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is cheesy Lambic funk, undeniable amounts of fruity hops, quite juicy for a Lambic, also some wood and classic brett flavours. Taste is fruity hops, orange juice, a bit grassy, with a touch of red apples, cheesy funk, this is still undeniably a pretty ripe Lambiek, but also a touch milkiness. Surprisingly much body. Fine-bubbled touch of carbonation. Long juicy hops aftertaste. This is a fun experiment, and by no means a full success (I don't like Haze enough for that), but I like it better than the recent batches of Cuvée St Gilloise, and it's quite a nice summer drink.

Tap at moeder lambiek. Pours unclear blonde, nearly no head. Smell is tart, funky, woody, lambic. Mild grassyness from the hops. Taste is strongly tart. Sweaty. Wood. Very funky. Mild bitterness amps up the tartness, but clashes. Malty aftertaste. Fruity tones by the hops. Cheesy Ness of the hops is Def noticeable, more so than a regular lambic. . Wel... Wouldn't compare this to an IPA. The hoppyness is not that strong, and not nearly fresh. Not as hoped. More like a lesser batch of lambic, with too much hops to me. Disappointing.

So used to having lambics with old bittering hops, but using aroma hops works quite well!
