Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at the Bottle Shop, Bermondsey. Pours black-brown with a foamy beige head. Tasty and nicely rounded, some brownies, baking cocoa, soft ashy roast, toasted marshmallows, maple accents. Medium bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Finishes with a nice rocky road vibe. Fun.

Pours a deep dark black colour with a small tan head that dissipated. Aroma is chocolaty, malt, coffee and bourbon notes. Smooth, silky and creamy; a sweet roasted malt and dark chocolate taste, some bourbon and bitter coffee ground flavours.

Bottle at home from bottle shop druid street. A opaque black brown coloured pour with a lasting loose mid tan head. Aroma is sweet, charred sugars, burnt pancake, stale coffee. Some boozed dried fruits on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, sticky brown sugars, burnt banana cake, tangy dried raisin, rustic earthy malts. Palate is medium sweet, sticky, oily, Not bad.

Craft Islington. Keg. Clear deep brown beer, good pale tan head. Smooth palate, quite soft. Reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a maple sweetness initially dominates but then does battle with some bitter earthy coffee. Intertwined is a light floral orange. Airy finish. Quite amusing but not sure I could handle a pint.

Bottle at home, 03/05/18. Black with a big old tan cap of tightly knit bubbles. Nose is bitter roast, tangy dark fruits, earthy, ashen tones, light black peppery spice, raisins, coffee dusting, slightly burnt syrup. Taste comprises burnt toffee, ashen notes, tangy dark fruits, cocoa dusting, bitter fruits ... not sure all is well with this bottle Medium bodied, light prickly carbonation, drying close. Not getting much coffee and overiding tangy fruit presence suggests I have a duff bottle. Not the worst beer I've tasted but dumped 2/3rds of this.
