Half-pint, 4.2 % abv, cask ale at The Old Manse Pub. Covering, bubbly, white head, upper part lacing on the glass, clear dark golden body. Moderate aromas of herbal hops and mid-sweet malts. Malt-fruity flavours, hints of ripe lemon, pineapple, and mild caramel malts. Fair bittersweet finish. Fine partner to my fish 'n chips. (Burton On The Water, Cotswold, 26.04.2025).

Bottle from local garden centre. Pours a clear gold with small white top, modest retention. Aroma of orange, herbs and pale malt. Taste has a light toasted malt and caramel with some herbal and orange flavoured hop. Moderate bitterness. Bang average; maybe better on cask. [Hops: Admiral and First Gold]

Cask at The Shutters, badged as a Golden Ale now and apparently with Admiral and First Gold hops so possibly a new beer? Dunno. Anyway, poured a slightly hazy amber with creamy white head. Aroma of malts and grassy citrusy hops. Taste of sweet malts, caramel, biscuit, citrus, lingering bitter finish.

Hansdpull cask at the Raglan Arms, Rugby. Light gold and clear with a tight white head and a lot of lacing. Orchard fruit and hay in the aroma. Sweetish taste with some grain notes and enough fruity hop to get it over the finish line, so to speak. Drinkable if unexciting.
