Rerate, 355 ml bottle, ABV 4.9%, as Widmer Brothers Hefe, from Vinmonopolet Verksgt., Stavanger. Slightly hazy golden, low and shortlived white head. Still a boring beer, but not quite as bad as claimed in my first comments. Noticeable hops. I’m upping it one point.

Original rating: Sample from bottle at Vectura tasting. Slightly hazy golden colour. Bland aroma and flavour, with only the faintest traces of typical hefeweizen characteristics. Calling this a "Hefeweizen" is unforgiveable, if they had called it an "American Wheat" they would at least have had a point. (But who cares for American Wheats anyway?) Yes, it is wet and cold, and might slake your thirst if you’re desperate, but that are all the good things you can say about it.

Tap at Henry's 12th Street Tavern, Portland OR, July 2016. Pours cloudy yellow orange, white head. Aroma: wheat, yeast, light hoppy. Taste: light to moderate sweet, wheat, yeast esters, floral, light bitterness. Medium body with foamy carbonation

Breast yeast and light banana. Hazy orange pour with pretty good head and lacing. Some raw barley bitterness in finish. Nothing really off here, a little better than ratings would suggest. Tap at Rumors in Astoria.

Trübe gelb orange Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hefiger, malziger, fruchtiger, leicht hopfiger Geruch. Geschmacklich hefig, malzig, fruchtig mit Bananen und Nelken, leicht hopfig. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Bottle in a bar at a bowling alley/amusement arcade in Avalon, Catalina Island on 9th Jan 2020. Hazed golden pour, large white head. Decent enough Hefe with a little of the regular wheat, banana and clove like aromas and flavours. It is very difficult to find new beers on Catalina (apart from the brewpub of course), so was really pleased to see this listed as even the two Liquor Stores had nothing for me (or Vons Supermarket).
