Amber, slight haze. Medium head. A little bit of toastiness, and nice caramelized sugars. Quite chewy - a fair bit of bitterness and not much hop brightness. A little too old school.

Bottle. Rich amber beer with a cream head. Tropical fruit aroma with light grapefruit. Grapefruit and tropical fruit flavor. Medium bodied but a little lighter than expected. Tropical fruit and grassiness lingers with light grapefruit.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar Victoriagade. Pours tiny hazy golden with a small frothy offwhite head that leaves some sticky lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is tiny malty and fruity with caramel, toffee, grapefruit juice, mango, pineapple, freshly cut grass, pine needles and lemon zest. Taste is sweet, bitter, tiny malty and fruity. Mouthgeel is round, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with crackers, caramel, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, moist grass, pine needles and lemon zest. A bit too sweet and fairly dull...

Keg at Mikkeller Viktoriagade, 30/04/15. Clear golden amber topped with moderate off white spotting. Nose is caramel, light citric rinds, earthy hops, spice, light bread. Taste comprises caramel malt, grain, berry fruit, toasted notes, brown sugar. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok, lacks hop presence for me.

Bigger Copenhagen bimble with Colin, Ronnie, Reuben and Alex. Mikkeller Vik. Keg. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate starts smooth but has trailing minerally crispness. Sweetish malts but with a touch of grain. Thin malt cream. Mild marmalade and fresh orange peel hops. Pinch of hop spice before a semi dry finish. Not bad. No idea this was an Experimental Hop beer, certainly didn’t pronounce itself.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy copper color, bright, with compact head. Nice Pale Ale, the hop provides a bit of fruity character, a bit citrusy, not tropical, and soft hop resins; the malt has a bit of caramel touch; it also has a very light vegetable note. Balanced, but can get boring in a large glass.
Nice, but either unfresh or not impressive.
