On tap. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of bourbon, black coffee and roasted malts. Flavors of same with more earthy coffee, but also lots of oaky bourbon alcohol. Bourbon is overwhelming.

Opaque colour and mid-sized brownish head and lace. Roasted malts, coffee and hints of bourbon in the nose. Medium-bodied. Lots of coffee and roasted malts, bourbon gives some alcoholic kick but not so much vanilla. Good beer.

On nitro tap at Darbys Pub, pours jet black with a small tan head side-by-side with Pch Mortel Bourbon 2024. Aroma has rich rounded bourbon barrels, dusty coffee roast, and a touch of dry cocoa powder. Flavour has a nice rounded bourbon barrel character upfront and dominating, accentuating the espresso, accompanied with a touch of vanilla, and finishing with bourbon and dry espresso. Closer to the heights of Bourbon Pch that I recall, and certainly better than the 2022 version.

Nov 21, 2024: Poured from the tap @ Darby's. Side by side with Peche Bourbon 2022. Very dark brown with beige head. Nice bourbon barrels, balanced, some heat, but quite nice - better than Peche Bourbon 2022. Seems this is Heaven Hill barrels specifically so maybe won't get merged? Also, this is likely the last time I'll be drinking at Darby's before they shut it down :(
