Keg at the brewery. A cloudy dull orange coloured pour with a lasting off white head. Aroma is semi sweet raw grains, caramel, spicy piney hop with a but of orange. Flavour is composed of grainy base malts, little caramel, biscuity grains, grassy pine, spicy hop, pine hop, orange rind. Palate is grainy, highish carbonation. Decent maybe a little sweet and old school.

Keg tap at the Dog, Burton-on-Trent. Dark gold, hazy with thin white head. Very little aroma, but I can detect the grainy doggedness of Amarillo. Sweet, sexy taste which changes suddenly to a marked bitterness. Bitter waxy finish with some toffee and orchard fruit. Pretty good, but not exceptional.

Keg at BeerKat. It pours cloudy golden orange with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, sticky orange, apricot, peach, bread, dirty pine and skunky dankness. The taste is smooth to start, bitter pine, resin, dank hoppage, dirty grass, sweet apricot, peach melba and some spice with mellow dank finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Nice dank apricot vibe throughout, but touch dirtier than the Delta Unda. Rather nice stuff overall.

Tap. Cotteridge, Brum. Murky, pale orange gold. Film of sticky, off white head. Nose has dank, piny hop. Ripe orange. Some ripe peach. Bready, yeasty backdrop. Taste is soft, fruity sweet. Light bitter. Mouthfeel isn’t as clean as the other two I just had. Juicy, light bitter finish.

On tap at Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham, Friday 3rd June 2016 Pours cloudy orangey/light-mid brown with a white head, it’s ok but no real looker in the beer beauty stakes. Malt heavy on the nose with some honey. In the mouth it’s mushy and indistinct, chewy, malty, sweetish but not really that hoppy, it’s pleasant enough but seems a bit flabby to me, I quite like it for a decent malty ’slightly’ hoppy beer but not getting much fruit or bitterness, finishes dry.
