Bottle. Bright clear dark amber beer, a small and particularly short lived pale tan head. Light palate, a very mild viscosity, good fine minerally carbonation. Smooth malts, a caramel creamy sweetness, not oversweet. Lovely ripe fruity bourbon, punchy flavours but, despite the hefty abv, not particularly boozy. Smooth and mildly dry finish. Rather good then. A barleywine in utter subservience to its barrel but, when the barrelling is this good, well, huzzah!

Bottled 500ml. -at Ambasada Zagreb. Brownish coloured, minimal beige head, caramel, alcohol and light dried fruits in the nose. Alcohol, caramel, dried fruits, light bourbon and touch of brown sugar with soft oak touch in the finish. Surprisingly not so sweet.

Intense sweet toasted malty with multiple layers of caramel and toffee sticky malty sweetness, spiced dried fruit shred, lovely bourbon chiming in, full bodied, more bourbon into the lingering sweet warming malty close. Gorgeous.

Dark amber colour. Not much head on this. The aroma is great. It's nutty, barrely, light fig. On the palate, soft and sugary, with a subtle fruity complexity, with toastiness as well. Really nice complexity. The alcohol washes over the palate, but is still balanced by a lot of sugars. This is excellent, especially for my sweet tooth

500mL bottle. Pours clear dark brown. Strong malt, rye whiskey, nuts, sweet malts on the nose; very nice. Flavour has great barley character, nice rye whiskey, a bit nutty, caramel sweetness; not a whole lot of booziness. This is fantastic.
